FIRST HILL FOR MY SON SAMUEL
My son climbed Ben A’an his first major hill, at just five years old its an impressive achievement. Very proud of him! Its a lovely hill just outside of Glasgow in the Trossachs. We wild camped on the summit. It was a brooding but beautiful day.
WEST HIGHLAND WAY, SCOTLAND
This was a terrific trip. The West Highland Way is not demanding but it’s certainly challenging with a little nipper in tow. My son was just one years old when we did this in 2020. Was an amazing trip. Hopefully a love of the outdoors will stay with Samuel forever.
CLIMBING BEINN IME AND BEINN NARMAIN IN ARROCHAR, SCOTLAND
Two Monroes in a day, the views at the top of Beinn Ime were just stunning. It was a beautiful day, mist, rain, sun and darkness on the way home. They are only a couple of hours outside Glasgow so a great day trip if you start early.
