Simon’s next feature film is starting to take shape, we can’t say too much at the moment. LET’S BE AWAY will be a father, daughter reconciliation story set in the wilds of Northern Scandinavia. Simon comments “the project is moving along swiftly and the script is really coming to life. It’s a beautiful drama between a father and his young daughter. The film will be set in Northern Norway amongst the rivers, hills and wilderness surrounded by mist, snow and wild wolves.” More details soon ….watch this space.

EDIE director Simon Hunter is taking to the road to deliver a questions and answers marathon at many of Germany’s most famous cinemas. You can now book tickets at the venues below. The official main release of EDIE in Germany starts on May 23rd.

SIMON HOSTS THE GERMAN RELEASE OF EDIE IN ESSEN IN MARCH

The first screening of Edie in Germany will be in Essen on March 21st. Simon will intro the movie and do a Q and A. Tickets are available now at the world famous Lichtburg cinema in Essen. Ticket are on sale now HERE

Simon attuned a German exhibitor screening of Edie in Berlin in February and the cinema where the cinema chains loved the movie. This follows on from a successful theatrical cinema run in the Netherlands. The movie is being released in Germany by WeltKino.

EDIE TO OPEN WIDE IN GERMANY - MAY 2019

Edie will open in Germany on May 23rd 2019. The film was post-produced in Berlin at Post Republic and has already been a hit at two festivals in Germany including at the Emden International film festival.

WeltKino is handling the movies release.

PEOPLES VOTE CAMPAIGN COMMERCIAL LAUNCHES

Simon has just completed a campaigning commercial for The Peoples Vote. The campaigning group is aiming to to push for a final say referendum on the governments Brexit deal.

Simon commented “ was a great film to be involved in, and a huge thanks to cast and crew, especially Bait studios in Wales who helped with our visual effects.”


EDIE PICKS UP MORE INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

EDIE has been winning festival awards across the world over the last few months. The films acolades include, audience awards in Hell Half Mile festival in Bay City Michigan and the special jury award at the Nordic Adventure film festival in Copenhagen. Simon and everyone who worked on the film are delighted the audience has responded so well to the film. The film was a summer sleeper hit in the UK, Australia and New Zealand and will one in US cinemas in Summer 2019.

Edie opened in over 100 cinemas in the UK and which grew to over 150 during it’s second week. The film did extremely good box office succeeding expectations.
